The automation delivers the message. The words decide whether anyone taps. Good DM copy is short, specific and sounds like you on a good day.
The three-line structure
- Deliver or confirm: what you are sending
- One useful detail: the thing they would ask next
- The button: what happens when they tap
Before and after

Rules
- Lead with the thing. Not with "thank you for your interest".
- Use numbers. Price, days, sizes, seats.
- One emoji at most unless your brand is very emoji-heavy.
- One button. Label it with the outcome.
- No ALL CAPS, no "!!!"
- Match your captions' language. Hinglish is fine.
Opening messages (two-step flows)
If you send a short opener with a button before the link, make the tap feel worth it:
Hey {name}! The full recipe is ready, with quantities and timings. Tap below and I'll send it 👇
[Send the recipe]
Not: "Click below to continue."
Follow-gate messages
Explain, briefly and kindly:
This one's for followers 🙂 Follow @yourpage, then tap "I'm following" and it's yours.
Words to avoid
"Kindly", "Dear customer", "We are pleased to inform you", "valued", "click here", "learn more". They sound like a form letter.
Test your copy
Read it aloud. If you would not say it to a customer standing in your shop, rewrite it.
Frequently asked questions
How long should an automated DM be?
Under 300 characters is a good target.

Can I use Hindi script?
Yes.
Do I need different copy for followers and non-followers?
Not usually. Keep one clear message.
