Coaches, educators and consultants run free webinars and live classes to find students. Instagram is where the audience is, but a registration link in bio loses most people. Comment-to-DM delivers the link to everyone who shows interest.
The flow
- Reel with a teaching moment and the date: "Free live class on Sunday at 11 am. Comment CLASS for the link."
- Automation DM:
You're in, {name}! 🎓 Register here and you'll get the Zoom link and a reminder on WhatsApp.
[Register free]
- The registration form collects name, phone or email, with a line on how you will use them
- Reminders go by WhatsApp or email, which you have permission to use
Why not remind by Instagram DM?
Automated DMs are limited to 24 hours after the person's last message. A comment on Monday does not allow an automated reminder on Sunday. Collect a contact you are allowed to message.
Increase show-up rates
- Reminder the day before and one hour before
- Calendar link on the thank-you page
- Say what they will be able to do after the class
- Keep it short: 45 to 60 minutes
During the live
If you go live on Instagram, Meta allows private replies to live comments only while the live is running. A keyword automation on live comments needs a tool that supports Lives. Otherwise, pin a comment with the link page in your bio.
After the class
- Send the recording and your offer to registrants
- Post a reel from the class with a new CTA for the next one
Frequently asked questions

Any form that works on mobile and does not require a login: Google Forms, Typeform, or your website.
Can I send the Zoom link directly in the DM?
You can, but you lose the chance to remind people.
How many seats should I promise?
Only promise a limit if it is real.
