Many Indian resellers find customers on Instagram and fulfil through marketplaces or WhatsApp. They post dozens of products a week and get the same questions on each. Automation keeps up when you cannot.
Two common models
Marketplace links: you send customers to a Meesho, Amazon or Flipkart listing.
WhatsApp orders: you take orders yourself and place them with a supplier.
Automation works for both. Only the button changes.
Setup
- Catch-all on every post:
price, rate, kitna, link→ your catalogue or store page - Per-product automations for your best reels → that product's listing or WhatsApp link with design code
Example DMs

Design codes
With many products, codes save time. Put a code on every reel and in the DM. Customers send the code on WhatsApp and you know exactly what they want.
Keep links current
Supplier stock changes fast. Check your top automations every few days and update sold-out products.
A sample setup
| Automation | Scope | Keywords | DM sends |
|---|---|---|---|
| Catalogue | Every post | price, rate, kitna, catalogue | Store or catalogue link |
| Product reel | That reel | price, link, details | That listing or WhatsApp with code |
| Sizes | Every post | size, sizes | Size chart |
| COD | Every post | cod, cash | COD policy line + order link |
Questions resellers should answer upfront
- Price including delivery
- COD or prepaid
- Delivery time
- Return or exchange rules (the marketplace's or yours)
- Size chart
Put the two most common in every DM. It reduces back-and-forth on WhatsApp.
Managing many products
- Use design codes on reels and in DMs
- Keep one catalogue link that you update, rather than new links every week
- Turn off automations for products your supplier discontinues
Content ideas
- Try-on reels, with the code and price on screen
- "3 outfits under ₹999"
- Unboxing of new stock
- Customer photos (with permission)
Mistakes to avoid
- Sending a marketplace link without saying it is a marketplace order (buyers may expect to order from you directly)
- Old links to out-of-stock listings
- Promising delivery times you do not control
Frequently asked questions
Can I put marketplace links in DMs?
Yes. Check each marketplace's own rules for resellers.
Do I need a GST number?
Marketplaces and tax rules differ. Ask a CA about your situation.
Should I show prices on reels?
It reduces questions and builds trust.
Can I use one keyword for all products?
Yes, with a catalogue catch-all. Per-product automations convert better on top reels.
