No. A comment-to-DM tool can only see and answer comments on posts from the Instagram account you connected. Comments on other people's posts belong to them, and Instagram does not let your tool message those commenters.
Influencer collaborations
When an influencer posts about your product, the comments are on their post. Your options:
- The influencer runs the automation on their account, with your link. Many creators already use comment-to-DM tools.
- Ask them to point people to you: "Comment on @yourbrand's pinned post" or "Check @yourbrand's bio".
- Repost the content on your own account (with permission) and run your automation there.
Collab posts
A collab post shows on both accounts, but it is owned by the account that created it. Results vary, so test from a second account. The safest approach is for the owner of the post to run the automation.
Brand partnerships at scale
If you work with many creators, give each one a ready "automation kit": the keyword, the opening message, the link with UTM tags for that creator. They paste it into their own tool.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect an influencer's account to my DM Flow?
They can connect their account to their own DM Flow, or to yours on a Pro plan if they agree. They must log in themselves with Instagram Login.
Do comments where people tag my brand trigger my automation?
No, unless the comment is on your own post. Tags and mentions elsewhere are different.
Is it allowed to DM people who commented on a competitor's post?
No. That would be a cold DM, which Instagram does not allow.
