What auto DM for Instagram means
An auto DM is a direct message Instagram sends for you, without you typing it. The kind that works, and that Instagram allows, is a reply to someone who contacted you first: they comment on your post or reel, or they message you, and your tool answers them in DMs.
DM Flow does exactly that. You choose a post, set the words people should comment (for example price, link or details) and write the DM. From then on, every matching comment gets an automatic DM within seconds, day and night, through Meta's official Instagram API.
What DM Flow does not do is send cold DMs to people who never talked to you, such as new followers or people who liked a post. Instagram does not allow that through its API, and tools that fake it with your password get accounts blocked. If you want the details, read Instagram auto DM explained.
How to set up auto DM on Instagram
- Sign up free and connect your Instagram professional account with Instagram's own login. We never see your password.
- Pick the post or reel, or choose every post on paid plans.
- Type the keywords people will comment, up to 20 per automation. Capital letters do not matter, Hinglish works and emoji keywords work too.
- Write the auto DM. Add a button such as "Send me the link", then the message with your link. You can also send the link in the very first message.
- Go live. Every comment that matches gets the DM, and the person is saved to your contacts.
Most people finish this in about two minutes. The full walkthrough with screenshots is in how to send an automatic DM on Instagram.

Extras that make auto DMs sell
- Follow-gate: ask people to follow before the link unlocks. DM Flow checks the follow with Instagram itself. How the follow-gate works.
- Public reply: DM Flow also answers the comment publicly ("Check your DMs 📩"), which shows other viewers the offer is real. Comment auto reply.
- Lead list: everyone who comments is saved with their username and what they asked for, and you can export it as CSV. Lead capture.
- Several Instagram accounts on the Pro plan, each with its own automations.
The rules Instagram sets, and how DM Flow follows them
- One reply per comment. Instagram allows one private reply to each comment, so DM Flow sends one opening DM. When the person taps the button or replies, the conversation opens and the link follows.
- Seven days. A comment can be answered in DMs for seven days. DM Flow answers within seconds, so this never gets in the way.
- 24-hour window. After someone replies, you can keep messaging them for 24 hours. DM Flow sends the link inside that window.
- Official API only. DM Flow runs on Meta's approved Instagram API, the same route the big tools use. No passwords, no browser bots, no risk of an action block from fake activity.
Price in rupees, never per contact
Auto DM tools from abroad charge in dollars, and many raise the bill as your contact list grows. DM Flow has a free plan with one live automation (200 DMs a month, no card needed), and paid plans from ₹999 a month with contacts included. A viral reel never turns into a surprise bill. Pay by UPI, cards or net banking with a GST invoice. See pricing.

Frequently asked questions
Is auto DM allowed on Instagram?
Yes, when it answers people who contacted you first, such as a comment or a message, and runs through Meta's official API. DM Flow only works that way. Sending cold DMs to people who never contacted you is not allowed.
Can I auto DM new followers on Instagram?
No. Instagram's API does not let any tool message someone just because they followed you. Tools that claim to do this log in with your password and put your account at risk. Ask people to comment a keyword instead, and DM Flow sends them the DM.
Do I need to keep my phone or laptop on?
No. DM Flow runs on our servers, so auto DMs go out even when your phone is off or you are asleep.
Is there a free auto DM tool for Instagram?
Yes. DM Flow's free plan gives you one live automation forever with 200 DMs a month, with no card needed. Paid plans add every-post automations, the follow-gate and more DMs.
Does auto DM work on reels?
Yes. Auto DM works on reels, photo posts and carousels. On paid plans you can also run one automation on every post, including the ones you publish later.
