Most automations work best with 5 to 10 keywords: your main word, its common variations, and the other ways your audience asks the same thing.
Start with the word you say in the reel
If the reel says "Comment PRICE", then price is keyword one. Most people copy what you say.
Add how people actually ask
| Main keyword | Add |
|---|---|
| price | rate, cost, kitna, kitne, how much, ₹ |
| link | send, details, info, bhejo, 🔗 |
| guide | pdf, free, checklist, send |
Find the ones you are missing
After a day, open your activity log and look for comments marked as no match. Those are real words your audience used. Add the useful ones.
How DM Flow matches keywords
- Capital letters are ignored ("PRICE" = "price").
- Whole words are matched, so
ratedoes not fire on "celebrate". - Emoji keywords match anywhere in the comment.
- Up to 20 keywords per automation.
When fewer is better
- On posts where people chat a lot ("love this!"), keep keywords specific to avoid sending DMs to people who did not ask.
- If you run several automations on one post, keep their keywords separate.
